Pia Eikaas (b. 1985, NO) is a Norwegian visual artist.

She holds an MFA from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Schools of Visual Arts in Copenhagen,

has studied at Beijing Language and Culture University as well as the Danish School of Art Photography, Fatamorgana.

Working across analogue photography, text, textiles, and altered found objects, Eikaas often presents her practice in expansive installation formats, where the phenomenological encounter runs parallel to the discursive.
Her method is one of dérive: the flâneuse wandering through urban and cultural landscapes, collecting objects, fragments, and stories that become the ground for artistic reflection.

Through a queer-feminist lens, her work engages with concepts of place, time, power, belonging, and water as a carrier of transformation—drawing from philosophy, poetry, spirituality, and critical theory. She creates works that prompt viewers to question which narratives are granted visibility, and to sense the veils through which the world is experienced.

Eikaas has received numerous awards, including from the Ingrid Lindbäck Langaard Foundation, the Hielmstierne-Rosencroneske Foundation, G9alt Talent Stipend,  Kristiansand Municipality Artist Grant and Agder County Municipality Artprize.

Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at institutions such as Under The Spell Artspace (London), Kristiansand Kunsthall(NO), Museu do Louvre Pau-Brazil (São Paulo), Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art (Copenhagen), Kunsthall Charlottenborg (Copenhagen), After the Butcher (Berlin), Galerie Elisabeth & Reinhard Hauff (Stuttgart), MoMA PS1 (New York), and UKS – Young Artists’ Society (Oslo).

She has participated in residencies at Cité Internationale des Arts (Paris) and Pivô Research Program (São Paulo), and her works are represented in the permanent collection of Kunstsilo Museum and several private collections.
In 2026, she will publish her photographic work Public Intimacies with the Copenhagen-based press Emancipa(t/ss)tionsfrugten.
